Dean Steel Buildings is taking applications for the position of Painter. This position is responsible for working in the production area of a manufacturing shop atmosphere. Responsibilities will include cleaning and painting fabricated metal parts. Must have ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs, and be able to drive a fork lift.

Responsibilities

  • Process purchase orders, change orders and other job paperwork
  • Organized – pays close attention to detail and keeps things arranged in a systematic way
  • Communicates effectively in person, over the phone, and in writing.
  • Must have strong math skills.
  • Preferred to be able to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings and sketches.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with potential client.
  • Preparation, review, and submission of accurate building quotations for calculation of cost to provide a client or potential client with services
  • Ensures control of projects throughout their lifecycle to ensure the building can be delivered to quality standards
  • Responsible for the development of project quotation and ensuring they are prepared to the required level of detail and accuracy in accordance with contractual requirements and policies, procedures, and standards

METAL BUILDING DESIGN ENGINEER

Job description

Engineer – Senior Metal Building Design

Dean Steel Buildings is currently seeking an onsite Senior Metal Building Design Engineer to join our team in our Fort Myers, FL location.

Essential Functions

  • Provide technical assistance to the sales, estimating, and manufacturing departments. Be familiar with IBC, FBC, ASCE-7 and stay abreast of building code changes.
  • Prepare design packages for in-house orders.
  • General engineering design and preparation of contract plans and specifications, including calculations.
  • Review job orders or code compliance.
  • Assist in updating and developing of in-house computer programs for the engineering department.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Must be a registered Professional Engineer.
  • Experience with MBS design software
  • Must be able to analyze high complexity projects outside of MBS
  • Be familiar with AutoCAD
  • Minimum of 5-years metal building design experience or related field
  • Extensive Design experience on medium and high complexity buildings
  • Maintain current Professional Engineer registrations in all states the company does business in.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
